B1/B2Work visa H1BStudent visa F1
B1 visa is issued to persons who travel to the US with business visit, while B2 visa – to tourists. In order to get a visa, you have to fill in the application of the DS-156 from and file the invitation from the US (if available) and ID (passport). This is the required minimum set of the documents.
In order to get a work visa in the USA, you’ll need the following documents: application of the DS-156 form (for men – additional DS-157 from), foreign travel passport, form I-797 – notice of approval, copies of diploma, record of service, and documents proving work in specific establishments during the maximal period.
F1 visas are issued only to students participating in corresponding academic programs. You need a corresponding form issued by authorized employee of your educational establishment – form I-20, questionnaire-application for forms DS-156 and DS-158, and passport.
Additionally, we recommend filing correspondence with persons in the USA from which you receive invitation (if applicable), documents proving your income (account statements), and documents stating ownership right for property in Russia. Documents proving that you own a business will be a plus.
Additionally, you have to file documents from employer in the USA: copy of approved petition on Form I-129 and all corresponding notices, information on payments to employees of the company that hires you, and advertising materials.
